What is Fat Injection?
- It means transfer of the fat from one area to the other.
- Generally it is removed from the area where the fatty tissue is dense such as; waist, abdomen and hip.

How is Fat Injection Applied?
- With local anesthesia-anaesthetizing the areas from which the fat is removed and to which it is given.
- With sedation-medicine application that makes a person feel sleepy and reduces the pain before local anesthesia.
- With general anesthesia-making the patient sleep totally.
If Fat Injection is Applied, What must I Pay Attention to?
- It is necessary that the patient shouldn’t take aspirin, drink herbal tea and antioxidants.
- It is profitable to make cold compress after the application..
- Moisturizers can be used on the application area.
- To have a bath just after the procedure is allowed.
When Will I Get the Result?
- On the first days there may be swelling on the application area. The edema declines on the following days.
- Generally, the result is get well between 7-10 days. But getting last status of it takes 6-8 weeks.
- %30-50 percentage of the injected fat may melt in 6 months or 1 year, for this reason a second fat injection may be needed.
What are the Side Effects or Undesirable Results?
- It is a safe technique. It is body’s own tissue.
- Rarely infection, hardness and disorders can be seen.
- Bruises may occur in an early period.
- Sensitivity is possible on the first days.
